North Shore Interior Design is a boutique residential interior design studio delivering a wide range of design, decoration and bespoke joinery services for select clients in Sydney. We create timeless, functional interiors that are modern and classic for new development, extensions and renovations. From the floor plan development, interior drawings, joinery, finishes, and selections through furniture, window treatments, styling, and installation.
Initial Design Consultation
This initial meeting is usually conducted on the project site. This consultation enables us to gain a comprehensive brief for the entirety of the project and gives our designers a chance to evaluate and understand the project space and setting. During this meeting, you will go through each room, giving the designer a better understanding of your style and expectations for each space. We discuss your project brief, look at photos, inspiration images, talk budget etc so we can gain a better understanding of the scope of work for your project.
Scope of Works and Design Concept
We consolidate the project brief into a Scope of Works & Fee document. The Scope of Works acts as a checklist of all the interiors to be designed and/or decorated, including the specific design elements required for each space. We then incorporate this checklist with our style and experience to create a comprehensive design concept.
The design concept is presented in digital format and developed using 3D modelling software.
The presentation may include:
- floorplan and furniture layout
- preliminary joinery documentation
- furniture and homewares concepts
- colour schemes and mood boards
Feedback is encouraged at the time of the presentation and also once you've had a chance to review the concept in your own time.
Design Development
After the final design concept is established, we prepare the technical documentation and schedules for your builder.
This may include:
- final set of floor plans and drawings
- furniture and homewares schedule
- lighting plan and schedule
- electrical plan and schedule
- window treatments and schedule
- fixtures, fittings and finishes schedules
Construction and Installation
We can liaise with the engaged tradespeople throughout the project build, to ensure the design intent is maintained and executed. This includes site visits and phone/email communications with nominated trade contacts.
Design Fees
All design projects are quoted individually. Please contact us in relation to hourly rates for colour schemes, floor plans, 3D drawings, FFF schedule, sample boards, personal shopping and in home styling.
